Oscars 2023: A film from the United States wins the top prize with seven Oscars

 

The American film "Everything, Everywhere, All at Once" won seven awards out of eleven nominations, including best film.

The film "Everything, Everywhere, All at Once" from the United States won seven Oscars out of eleven nominations, including best picture. During this year's award ceremony, the film received the greatest number of nominations.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences held the Oscar ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California, on Monday to honor the best film works produced during the previous year.

The film "Everything, Everywhere, All at Once" is a science-fiction comedy in which the protagonist is a middle-aged Chinese immigrant who becomes involved in a fantasy adventure while working for the IRS in the United States (IRS).


"Everything, Everywhere, All at Once" also won Oscars for best original screenplay, best director (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert), best editing, best actor in a supporting role (Jonathan Kwan), and best actress in a supporting role (Jamie Lee Curtis).

Michelle Yeoh, a Malay actress and star, has won the Oscar for Best Actress, beating out other movie stars. Cate Blanchett for the film Tár, Ana de Armas for the film Blonde, Andrea Riseborough for the film To Leslie, and Michelle Williams for Steven Spielberg's drama The Fabelmans.


Michelle Yeoh becomes the first Asian woman to win the Academy Award for Best Actress by winning this award.

As one of the most well-known action actresses, Michelle Yeoh gave her prize—which she described as a "super-heroine"—to her mother and all mothers everywhere.

After quitting acting for years, Canadian actor Brandon Fraser surprised many moviegoers by making a comeback and winning the best actor award for his role in The Whale.


Fraser had suffered from a significant weight gain and had been away from acting and comedy in general for a number of years until The Whale director brought him back to the big screen and helped him win his first Oscar.


Additionally winning the Best Makeup Oscar was the movie The Whale.


The song Naatu Naatu won the Oscar for best original song for a motion picture during the 41st Annual Oscars ceremony, marking a turning point in Indian cinema history,who is the first Indian song to win this award in the history of Bollywood film.


German movie All Quiet on the Western Front won four Oscars out of nine nominations for best foreign language film, best picture, best production design, and best original song.


The First World War is depicted in the movie, which illustrates the devastating effects war has on people.

Women Talking, a movie about oppressed women in a remote religious colony, won the Oscar for best adapted screenplay.


Pinocchio, a Guillermo del Toro animated film, won the Oscar for best animated long-form, and Navalny, a documentary about the assassination of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, took home the award for best long-form documentary.


Oscars for best visual effects and best original song went to the movies Top Gun: Maverick and Avatar: The Way of Water, respectively.


In regards to the movie Wakanda Forever, it won the Oscar for best costume design.
